How it all started...
Christus Victor was started in the back room of the old Kroger's Grocery Store on Merchant's Rd in 1966. We received our charter in 1968 and have been in North Knoxville ever since. We are a member of the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod.
We purchased the property we are currently located at in the 70's and expanded from a storage room to a house, to a church building that offers classrooms, meeting spaces and a gorgeous sanctuary that allows us to worship, and to share in God's blessings to all that we come in contact with.

Who we are...
Here's the deal, Christus Victor cares about one thing more than anything else, celebrating the birth, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Without Him we are nothing.
Christus Victor is a family of individuals that have found hope in Jesus, and simply want as many people as possible to experience that same JOY.

What's the bottom line? More than ever, Christus Victor is committed to fostering a family built around hope. Hope for the future. Hope for better. Hope for progress. Hope in Jesus. And as we move forward as a church family, inclusion and belonging remain at the center of who we are as followers of Christ.
